The library welcomes unrestricted gifts of books and other library materials. Donated materials should be in good condition and up-to-date. Due to the limited space and the fact that back issues of most of the library's print periodicals are now available on electronic databases, the library, as a general rule, is not interested in receiving back runs of magazines and periodicals. The library reserves the right to sell or discard any donated materials.

The library does not serve as an appraiser for donated materials. However, a letter from the college acknowledging the gift will be sent to individuals donating materials.
