And now for something a bit more serious.....
After 11 years at LMC I am finally an official Librarian! My dutes
as Technical Services Librarian include:
- Original and copy cataloging of all incoming materials.
- Administration of the Online
Catalog and blog.
- Maintain the stacks.
- Supervise and manage the Circulation desk in the William Hessel
Library including
- Assist our patrons with reference questions.
- Teach library instruction classes on the main campus and our extension
campuses.
- Design and maintainence of the William
Hessel Library website
My educational background is a surprise to most people.
- B.S. Mathematics from the University of North Dakota (1991)
- Master of Divinity from the North American Baptist Seminary (1994)
- 15 credits towards my Master of Library Science from both Indiana
University and Wayne State University. I'm currently looking for an
affordable school that offers the MLS degree online.
