The College’s Emeritus Appointments of Administrative and Professional Staff policy is intended to honor distinguished professional and administrative staff who retire in good standing from the College and have demonstrated exceptional commitment and contributions through exemplary service, civic responsibility, vision, and leadership. Reserved for those who have earned such a high distinction over the course of at least ten (10) years of dedicated service, nominations must reflect professional contributions to college wide-goals.

The rights and privileges of those honored with emeritus status are as follows:

  • Staff granted emeritus status shall be granted the title “Emeritus” after their retirement;
  • The opportunity to participate in select College events and ceremonies that include all staff;
  • Staff privileges related to the library, Fitness Studio, visual and performing arts events, and athletic events; 
  • Emeritus retirees will be listed on a plaque displayed at the College.
