Alumni Service Award: Michael Bradley

Lt. Michael Bradley is the Emergency Management Homeland Security Coordinator for the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department. Michael earned an Associate in Applied Science degree in Law Enforcement from Lake Michigan College in 1995 and holds a bachelor’s degree from Siena Heights University.

Recognized by the State of Michigan as a Professional Emergency Manager, Michael develops and maintains an All-Hazard Comprehensive Countywide Emergency Response Plan. He is also instrumental in securing significant grant funding for the county’s emergency preparedness.

Michael has been honored with several statewide awards including State Emergency Management Coordinator of the Year, Deputy of the Year, the Police Academy Outstanding Achievement Award. His department’s work during the 2003 88-car accident on I-94 and the civil unrest in Benton Harbor has also been recognized with several awards. Michael is a member of several emergency management organizations and serves as vice-chairman of the Berrien County Red Cross Executive Board.
