Greetings from President Kubatzke
By the time this publication arrives in mailboxes we will be welcoming new and returning students back to our campuses. Many are emerging from a challenging year of remote learning, and our staff and faculty are ecstatic to be greeting students in person once again. Other students are happily opting to remain online and off-campus. Either way, we’re confident in our ability to provide a great education by any delivery method and we’re grateful for the opportunity to offer a variety of choices to fit each student’s needs.
This year is especially remarkable because students are receiving their education for FREE! Thanks to new state and federal funding sources and the generosity of our donors, we were able to waive tuition and fees for all students enrolled in the Fall and Spring semesters. We are inspired by the hundreds of families who are taking advantage of this incredible opportunity to achieve their dreams and we look forward to watching these students flourish in their education, and eventually their careers. My wife, Kim, and I can barely leave the house without meeting an LMC alum who is working in our community. It always fills my heart with pride.
The year marks the College’s 75th anniversary, and while there is so much to look forward to in our future, it is useful to take a moment to ponder our past. During the following months, we’ll be celebrating the people, moments and milestones that make up LMC’s history. It’s astounding to see how far we’ve come thanks to a community that supports us and our mission. We appreciate you and look forward to continuing our growth together.
Sincerely,
Dr. Trevor A. Kubatzke,
Lake Michigan College President
