National Arab American Heritage Month

April is National Arab American Heritage Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the contributions of Arab Americans to our country's culture, history, and society. This month pays tribute to the many achievements of Arab Americans, from famous names such as Tony Shalhoub, Rami Malek, Bella Hadid, and DJ Khaled, to the countless everyday individuals who have made important contributions to their communities.

Arab Americans have a rich history in the United States, dating back to the early 1800s when they first began to immigrate to the country. Today, Arab Americans are one of the fastest-growing and most diverse communities in the United States, with roots in over 20 different countries throughout the Middle East and North Africa.

There are many ways to learn more about the rich culture and history of Arab Americans during National Arab American Heritage Month. Here are a few ideas:

Their website is a great resource for learning about Arab American history, culture, literature, food, and more. You can also find events, news, and resources related to Arab American Heritage Month on their site.

  • Support Arab American organizations: There are many organizations that work to support and empower the Arab American community. Consider donating to or volunteering with organizations such as the Arab American Institute or the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee.
