Lake Michigan College celebrates International Education Week
Lake Michigan College's Internationalization Committee celebrates International Education Week with free events for students, faculty, staff, and the community from Monday, Nov. 13 through Thursday, Nov. 16.
International student activist and speaker Jacob Breit will participate throughout the week. He recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, receiving a bachelor's degree in Global Health with a minor in Organic Agriculture.
As the Associated Students of Madison Student Council Sustainability Chair, Breit was the lead author of the first edition of the Student Sustainability Advisory Council and the director of a student-led documentary, "A Just Transition."
He is currently working as the International Director of the Kenyan NGO MARTCOME-Kenya, among the teaching staff at Koinadugu College in Sierra Leone, and the Development Coordinator at two Wisconsin-based non-profit organizations, Strides for Africa and Feeding Mouths, Filling Minds.
