General Studies & Undecided

What are General Studies and Undecided Programs?

Undecided
The Undecided pathway is designed for students who have not yet chosen a major but are actively exploring their interests. Students in this pathway focus on taking general education courses, such as math, English, and science, which are required for most majors. The goal is to prepare students for transfer to a university while meeting Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) requirements.

General Studies
The General Studies program is intended for students who have taken courses in various areas and wish to complete a degree without selecting a specific major. It is more flexible, allowing students to combine completed credits from different fields to meet general education requirements. This program is often a final choice for students aiming to graduate and move on to either a career or transfer.
