Medical Assisting Advanced Certificate

Jump start your health care career

Upon completion of the 42 credit program, students may apply for an Advanced Certificate.

All students in the Medical Assisting program are required to pass a criminal background check and drug screen prior to participating in the  Medical Assisting program courses.

Students must also complete a physical exam and provide proof of the following:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps & Rubella) vaccination
  • Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) vaccination
  • Varicella vaccination
  • Hepatitis B vaccination
  • COVID-19 vaccination
  • Annual TB testing (PPD skin test or blood test accepted)
  • Annual influenza vaccination
