The Music curriculum prepares you for opportunities that require a four-year degree and provides an opportunity to hone your performance skills. Coursework is available if you are interested solely in advancing your music skills or earning the first two years of a four-year degree in Music leading to a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Music Education, Bachelor of Music or Bachelor of Science degree.
This program follows the conservatory model used at most four-year music schools and can put you on the right path for a career in Music Performance, Music Theory, Music History, Music Education, Music Therapy, Sacred Music, Music Technology or Music Business/Arts Administration. This degree features a structured program of applied lessons, ensemble work, music theory, ear training, keyboard skills and music history. Variations exist depending upon which pathway you choose within the major.
