If you live in Allegan County, and want to pursue higher education, you have a great choice right in your backyard! Lake Michigan College offers all the necessary credits to complete an associate's degree or certificate right at the Allegan Tech Center.

Associate Degree and Certificate Programs

Programs that can be completed at the Allegan Tech Center are an Associate of Arts degree or an Associate of Applied Science in Business degree. Students interested in other programs of study can still earn general education credits at the Tech Center, and then transfer to an LMC campus in South Haven, Benton Harbor or Niles.

Short-Term Training

LMC also offers short-term training courses at the Allegan Tech Center, which can help you get a jump start on a new career - or a new set of skills - in less than a semester. Throughout the year, courses include Certified Nurse Aide, as well as options in other in-demand fields. 

Early College Allegan County

AAESA and LMC offer Early College Allegan County for high school students to begin earning an associate's degree or certificate before they graduate from high school.

Students will enter the program in 11th grade and complete both their certificate and high school diploma after the 13th year. The three programs ECAC currently offers are

Lake Michigan College and Allegan Area Educational Service Agency have partnered for many years to offer learning opportunities to residents in Allegan County. In 2015, LMC received approval from accreditation agency The Higher Learning Commission to offer full associate degree programs at the Allegan County Area Technical & Education Center.
