The Lake Michigan College Visual & Performing Arts Department has announced its schedule of student and faculty performances for the Spring 2023 semester.
The MLK Celebration Week 2023 takes place Jan. 14-20 under the theme, "Keep Moving Forward," inspired by King's speech, "Keep Moving from This Mountain," delivered April 10, 1960, in an address at Spelman College in Atlanta.
It has been a few years since the music of The Temptations, Miracles, and Contours blared out of every car in America, but the music of Motown lives on in movies, commercials, and in a new holiday show that hits Lake Michigan College's Mendel Center Mainstage at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18.
