Red Hawk Futures Scholarship
Will you graduate from high school in 2024?
We can help you pay your tuition.
LMC’s Red Hawk Futures Scholarship is a new program that pays your remaining tuition costs.
You read that right.
You are eligible for FREE TUITION at Lake Michigan College.
Here's how to get started:
-
To launch your college degree, you can fill out the LMC admission application. It’s online, and it's free!
-
Request high school transcripts.
-
Submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). It’s also online and free!
-
Sign up for a New Student Orientation. Visit the college and get valuable registration information.
-
Talk to an advisor about the classes you want to take.
-
Start classes this Fall!
THAT'S IT!
Your Red Hawk Futures Scholarship pays your tuition after financial aid and other scholarships are applied. This means that if you complete your FAFSA and application, your tuition bill at LMC will be reduced to $0.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I QUALIFY?
- You earned your high school diploma from an in-district high school in 2024, or you are an in-district resident with a GED/high school equivalency in 2024.
- You are a U.S. citizen, eligible non-citizen, or documented DACA recipient.
- You have a valid Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file at LMC.
- You do not already have an associate or bachelor’s degree.
- You enroll full-time (12 credits per semester minimum) during the Fall and Spring semesters (there is no minimum for Summer).
Fall 2024 high school graduates from the LMC district must complete the application and FAFSA to earn this scholarship.
The Red Hawks Futures Scholarship is for educational programs at Lake Michigan College.
The Red Hawk Futures Scholarship is a “last-dollar program” that will cover the remaining balance of tuition and fees. Any federal, state, or third-party scholarships and grants will be applied to your account first.
