To maintain consistency and continuity, the content of Lake Michigan College courses, disciplines, and programs is the responsibility of full-time faculty, Department/ Program Chairs, Program Directors, and other subject matter experts. Included also is the responsibility for the continuous evaluation and updating of course, discipline, and program content and evaluations of student success through the measurement of student learning outcomes. Adjunct faculty and full-time faculty are encouraged to maintain close communication in order to facilitate the learning process for students. Each adjunct faculty member is assigned a full-time faculty counterpart or Department/ Program Chair or Program Director for the purpose of communication for any educational situation that may arise during the semester.

It is expected that adjunct faculty will teach to the goals and objectives established by the full-time faculty. It is also expected that adjunct faculty will measure student learning outcomes and report assessment data. Student learning outcomes of multiple sections of the same course must be the same.
