My undergraduate degree was earned at Grand Valley State University, where I received a Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology. Following my interest in wine and fermentation, I formalized my education at the University of California, Davis, earning a Winemaking Certificate. I have worked in the wine industry for the last decade at both small, boutique wineries and larger regional brands, in roles at all levels of the business. My role as Winemaker here at Lake Michigan College is to manage the student-run winery, Lake Michigan Vintners, as well as instruct course material in the Wine and Viticulture program to train the next generation of Midwest Winemakers.
