Melissa Emery started at Lake Michigan College as a project manager which included the energy baccalaureate degree, the wine and viticulture program as well as accreditation projects in relationship to the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).

Emery comes to Lake Michigan College from WEP, Inc. serving Northeast Wisconsin where she was the Associate Director and Employment Programs Manager. Emery’s Workforce Development experience spans to Ohio where she was the Associate Director of Cooperative Education at the University of Toledo in the College of Engineering.

Emery is a member of the HLC Peer Review Corp, a Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP), and a national CWDP reviewer for the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP). Emery holds a Masters from the University of Toledo and several certifications.

I have worked in Information Technology at LMC supporting the systems and applications used by the school since 2011. I graduated with a Bachelors of Computer Science from Grand Valley State University.

Dr. Kenneth Flowers is a proud graduate of Lake Michigan College. He spent the first 14 years of his career in manufacturing, starting in the mold making industry as an apprentice and ultimately finishing as journeyman mold maker and mold designer at Hanson Mold. Since 1997 he has worked at Lake Michigan College in the Career and Workforce Education Division as an adjunct faculty, full time faculty, Department Chair, and the Dean of Career and Workforce Education. Dr. Flowers has been the Interim Provost and Vice President of Academics since 2022. He lives in St. Joseph, MI with wife Misty. Ken and Misty have two children, Austin and Lindsey, and two beautiful granddaughters, Ryatt & Blair.

Angelia is the Director of Student Support Services a program that offers additional support services to first-generation, low-income, or students with a disability to assist in the successful completion of an associate degree from Lake Michigan College and/or transfer to a four-year college or university. Prior to joining LMC Angelia was the Director of Financial Aid at Holy Cross College in Notre Dame Indiana. Angelia received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in finance from Indiana University and her Master’s Degree in management from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate degree from Indiana State University. She is a member of Upsilon Omicron Zeta graduate chapter of Zeta Phi Beta sorority, Inc.
