Santa Claus coming to town for Fab Lab ornament workshop

Santa Claus is scheduled to make an early stop in Benton Harbor on Thursday, Dec. 1, at the Fab Lab inside Lake Michigan College’s Hanson Technology Center, 2755 E. Napier Ave. 

The visit is part of a Fab Lab ornament workshop, where registered participants can have their photo taken with Mr. Claus and then use the image to laser cut and personalize 4-inch wooden holiday ornaments. Workshop time slots are between 4-5 p.m. and 5:30-6:30 p.m. 

Ornaments will be ready to pick up and personalize with text between 12-6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3. The free personalization only will be available on Dec. 3. 

Participants will be able to access their photos digitally via Google Drive. Fab Lab staff will share a link by email with those who register and will be available to download, print and share throughout the holiday season. 

The cost is $20. Participants can purchase an additional nine ornaments for another $20.
