Dr. Trevor A. Kubatzke is President of Lake Michigan College. He joined LMC in 2017 with more than two decades of higher education leadership experience.

Before joining LMC, Kubatzke was Vice President of Student Services at Milwaukee Area Technical College. From 2007 to 2012, he was Vice President for Student and Educational Services at Delta College in eastern Michigan. Prior to that, he spent eight years at Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Illinois, serving in leadership roles including Associate Vice President of Enrollment, Interim Chief Information Officer, Assistant Vice President of Admissions and Registrar, and Executive Director of a regional education center. He began his academic career in 1995 at Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa.

Kubatzke holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from University of Wisconsin-Platteville; a Master of Science in education administration from Southwest Missouri State University; and a doctorate in Education Administration in Community College Leadership from Walden University.

Angela Kurtz serves as Compensation Specialist and Generalist II for the Department of Human Resources. She holds a Master in Public Administration as well as being a Certified Professional by the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM-CP). Angela has worked in higher education for eight years—five years in administration and three years as a part-time instructor.

Amanda LaFay is the Natural Sciences Lab Manager at Lake Michigan College and a Certified Chemical Hygiene Officer (CHO) through the National Registry of Certified Chemists (NRCC). Prior, she served as the Natural Sciences Lab Coordinator from spring 2019 through spring 2022. Originally from Lansing, Amanda moved to Southwest Michigan in 2019 after completing her B.S. in Environmental Biology & Zoology at Michigan State University. She also holds an A.A.S. in Photographic Imaging from Lansing Community College.

Kristi Lafrenz develops and teaches marketing and communications courses for Lake Michigan College and Siena Heights University. She was recognized as LMC's 2016 Adjunct Instructor of the Year and is passionate about engaging students and connecting learning to relevant and real life applications.

Professional/Real-World Experience: Prior to teaching, Kristi worked for Maytag Corporation as Director Sales & Marketing, Strategic Initiatives; Maytag Brand Manager; and Jenn-Air Brand Manager. She has 20 years practical experience in marketing management, advertising, public relations and sales, specializing in the revitalization of brands and their icons, product development, integrated marketing communications and consumer behavior.

Lynn Lehman is an adjunct instructor teaching marketing, professional sales and other business courses for Lake Michigan College. She is a seasoned marketing and business professional with diverse and global industry experience in product marketing, business development, product management, communications and brand management. She is currently a Senior Global Product Manager for BISSELL working on innovation and strategy for the CrossWave branded line of products.

Over the years, Lynn has been recognized for proactively growing revenue, sales pipeline and new business/marketing opportunities for strategic branded and private label businesses. She has also demonstrated success in leading the definition and launch of new products from concept to full production and the creation of go-to-market plans in marketing roles at Perrigo, Reynolds and World Kitchen.

Lynn holds an MBA from Roosevelt University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Marquette University. She has a passion for applying learning to practical real-life situations that prepare students for success in the changing business world.

Beth Lehner is an adjunct instructor in the College Life Studies program within the school of Arts and Sciences at LMC. She has been teaching at LMC since 2017 and also serves on the CARES Team (Coordination, Assistance, Response & Education) at LMC.

Beth received her bachelor's degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Michigan State University. She also attended Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis to receive a K-12 teaching accreditation. She taught middle and high school science and math courses prior to teaching at LMC. Her teaching philosophy is to create meaningful lesson plans, engage students in their learning, and invest in each student.
