What is SOAR?
New Student Orientation and Registration (SOAR) at Lake Michigan College is designed to help you become familiar with the College environment and learn strategies for a successful start to your educational journey. You'll Get the inside scoop on LMC life, Learn about how college works, and discover all the resources LMC has for you.
2025 New Student Orientation Sessions
If you are going to be a New Student in Fall 2025, please plan to register for and attend one of the in-person orientation sessions below.
Tuesday, June 17 – Benton Harbor
Tuesday, June 24 – South Haven (if you are planning on taking classes at the South Haven Campus, please attend here)
Thursday, July 10 – Benton Harbor
Thursday, July 24 – Benton Harbor
Thursday, July 31 – Benton Harbor

If you are a new student in a Spring or Summer term, please plan to complete the Online Orientation before you meet with your advisor to schedule classes.
It's super easy:

- Log in with your name and LMC ID (you’ll find it in your LMC Student Profile).
- Spend about 40 fun minutes exploring LMC.
